I was lucky enough to attend the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week and ran into Jason Hiner from ZDNet at one of the press events (where Lexmark was being honored for our new Platinum Pro905). Well, great. $0.01 per page.
Your real asset in the game is the front-end / touchscreen you have on these printers. Publish the APIs, let developers create new applications, make it an open ecosystem.
Trying to win a fight with the same weapons your competitors is not smart. Using a new weapon that your competitors do not have is smart.
