Scan to Evernote
Fans of Evernote will be thrilled to know that Lexmark has just introduced a new SmartSolution called 'Scan to Evernote' for use on our three new touchscreen printers - Interact S605, Prestige Pro805 and Platinum Pro905.
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Evernote, it's a popular Web service designed to help you save your ideas, experiences and memories online and easily retrieve them later from any computer or online device you use - like your web-enabled mobile phone.
With 'Scan to Evernote', you can use your Lexmark All-In-One to convert hardcopy documents into digital format and effortlessly upload them to your Evernote account with the press of a button. It's great for uploading important documents, hand-written notes, photos and even that brilliant idea you sketched on the back of the napkin during dinner last night.
If you don't already have an Evernote account, register for one here - all you need is an e-mail address and password (there's a free and premium account). Then, setting up the app on your printer is a piece of cake - just remember that you'll need the 'upload' e-mail address that Evernote provides on the 'Settings' page of your account. You can choose to upload your documents in either a PDF or JPEG format - PDF is best for documents and JPEG is best for photos. Want to upload both PDF's and JPEG's...why not set up a solution for each?
