With the celebration of Earth Day still fresh on our minds, I thought it appropriate to spend some time highlighting ways to lower the environmental impact of your printer. Most of these are very easy to do and will have a positive impact on your environmental footprint.
Recycle ink and toner cartridges:

Turn on 2-sided printing:
Most new Lexmark printers offer automatic 2-sided printing as an option. Turning on this functionality sets all print jobs to print on the front and back of the page, lowering your paper consumption by up to 50%.
Enable Eco-Mode settings:
Many of our new 2009 inkjet printers come with a built in Eco-Mode setting which can dim the operation panel of the printer and send the printer into power saving sleep mode sooner. Using this setting lowers the power consumption of the printer and saves energy.
Save time and the planet with SmartSolutions:
